Im so sick of this….
My parents yell at me when I do poorly in a class. When I do my homework they tell me I can do it later and they need me to do something else. When I try to practice marimba or piano they tell me to stop because it’s not important and they want to watch tv. Im sorry, I must have forgotten, what’s my major? Oh yeah that’s right! MUSIC! When I try to practice I am, in fact, doing my homework. So basically, getting good grades is important, but not homework? Everything I play for my music classes is my entire grade, if I don’t practice I fail that assignment. Cool. When I try to explain that I’m trying to to my homework so I can do better this year, then my mom and dad bring up when I went to WMU and tell me that because I didn’t succeed at Western what they want is more important, and there fore it doesn’t matter that I’m trying to do better this year which is why I need to do other things. Are you confused yet? Yeah, So am I….
